Membership

Anyone can join the Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans in Canada (ANAVETS), regardless of military background. While the organization has specific membership categories for veterans, we also welcome first responders and civilians who support our mission.

Types of Membership

  • Life Membership

    Life

    Life membership is a significant honour bestowed upon members who have demonstrated outstanding service and community involvement for at least fifteen consecutive years, in good standing.

    Life membership exempts the member from the payment of Per Capita Tax for life.

  • Active Membership

    Active

    Open to individuals who have served in the Canadian Armed Forces, law enforcement, firefighters, paramedics or other first responders.

    Proof of service is typically required.

  • Affilitate Membership

    Affiliate

    Affiliate members need to first be an associate member of a local unit for two consecutive years. 

  • Associate Membership

    Associate

    Offered to individuals who support the objectives of ANAVETS but do not meet the criteria for Active or Affiliate membership.
